What are my priorities?

My family has always been an important part of my life. I owe a great deal to my parents in raising me the way they did. I don't know how I would be able to do the same with my kids. I can only try!

I have been married for six years. Alhamdulillah I can say I have been lucky on all ends! Finding a sincere and loyal partner is a blessing indeed! I now have three lovely kids, two daughters, Iman and Hedaya and a son, Abdullah in that order (may Allah give them guidance and faith!). My journey into fatherhood has been an enriching and satisfying experience. I can only hope I can do half of what my parents did for me.

What am I into?

I am always been a technology geek! From the Atari 2600 (yeah the one with the cartridge slot) to the iPad and everything in between. I have been an avid gamer for as long as I can remember. My first awesome gaming moment was with Voodoo 3Dfx which completely transformed Need for Speed from 2D to 3D and changed gaming forever. Now thanks to the iPhone I have slowly adapted everything Apple. MacBook Pro for work and other iOS devices for everything else in my life.

I love to read. I am into a wide variety of subjects. At the moment I would say my favorite author is Malcolm Gladwell. If he were a planner he would surely be a guru. His in-depth analysis and research combined with an engaging writing style is simply fascinating. My favorite blogger at the moment is Seth Godin. His ability to hit you with profound ideas and thoughts on a regular basis is inspiring. Now with social media going all crazy I started out with micro-blogging on Twitter and full-time blogging on Incito Mentis. It's been a great journey so far.

I like to keep fit. I work out regularly. Having a gym at the compound has been a big blessing. I used to swim a lot back in Pakistan and even when I first moved to Saudi Arabia. Now I don't get to swim so much except for the occasional dip in the pool with the kids.

I am also a big movie buff! My favorite actors at the moment are Will Smith, Russell Crowe and Denzel Washington to name a few. My all time favorite movie is Gladiator and Shawshank Redemption, but the list really goes on.

Music had been a big passion. I used to play guitar. Got into it big time once upon a time, now I only listen to music on internet radio when I am working out.

What am I like as a person!

I am passionate about life and like to make everyday count. I am friendly and easy going. I appreciate sincerity and I like to make friends with people who are down to earth and real. I think I can get along with about everyone. Over the years I have gotten much calmer then I used to be. I am not the kind of guy who is socially very active. I may have over 250 friends on Facebook and thousands of Twitter followers but I am by nature an introvert. I enjoy the company of close friends and family. Having moved to Saudi Arabia has been a bit of compromise on that front.

I get inspired by people who like to think big and believe in the principle of abundance. Petty thinking and greed is big turn-off for me. I like to be challenged and crave constant intellectual stimulation. I feel a mind not engaged is not a mind at all.
